Welcome to the elearning module of your blended paediatric first aid course.

This course is aimed at anyone working with or caring for babies and children including Early Years workers, Childminders, Nannies and Au pairs.

The course is made up of 2 units:

Unit 1: e-learning module

Unit 2: Practical face to face training

Once you have successfully completed both units you will receive a full Paediatric First Aid certificate which complies with EYFS criteria for Paediatric First Aid.

The information in this course has been designed in line with guidelines from:

• The Resuscitation Council (UK)
• NHS Choices
• The EYFS Statutory Framework

Ofsted has 2 childcare registers:

• The Early Years Register
• The Childcare Register (Compulsory and Voluntary)

Not all childcarers have to register with Ofsted.
Nannies and au pairs, for example, can choose to join the Voluntary part of the Childcare Register, but it is not compulsory.
