CPR for Adults

Adult CPR follows a similar pattern to CPR for babies and children, but with one key difference: you do not start with 5 initial rescue breaths.

Instead, begin with 30 chest compressions, followed by 2 rescue breaths.

This approach is used because adults usually require CPR due to a heart-related problem, so it’s most important to get the heart pumping again before providing extra oxygen through breaths.
